Dal 25 maggio, quasi due mesi dopo la mia partenza da Carbonera (TV), il viaggio ed il piacere della scoperta culturale avranno un nuovo progetto parallelo ad affiancarsi.

Ho ufficialmente iniziato il conteggio dei chilometri per la “maggior distanza compiuta in 50 cc” secondo il Guinness dei Primati.

Ecco spiegato il nuovo conteggio chilometrico in fondo ai miei post e ai cambiamenti motoristici apportati in corsa. La richiesta l’avevo inviata al Guinness dei Primati ancora il 26 aprile però non potendo immaginare perchè la mia domanda potesse venire rifiutata, avevo già iniziato ad organizzarmi per avere lo scooter in regola con i criteri della sfida: oltre  ai cuscinetti dell’albero motore che erano usurati, anche il motore 70 cc doveva venir sostituito con uno da 50 cc. Ad aiutarmi e supportarmi in questo progetto ci ha pensato la RMS fornendomi il materiale necessario.

La richiesta fattomi dal GWR è di compiere almeno 1000 km, il che è una bazzecola: ad oggi, 6 giugno 2010, ho già coperto una distanza maggiore ed ho filmato anche l’esatto infrangimento del record precedente. Ho deciso di aggiungere questa sfida al mio progetto di viaggio perchè ciò non mi complica la vita, non fissandomi dei paletti (unico requisito è di non fare soste di una durata maggiore i 14 giorni) e per rendere il tempo speso in strada maggiormente utile. Dovrò inoltre raccogliere più spesso possibile dei timbri da qualche autorità in loco che certifichi che io sia effettivamente passato per tale località. A far fede saranno anche il materiale video e fotografico che raccoglierò lungo il tragitto (cliccando qui è possibile scaricare il file con i requisiti inviatomi dal GWR). Non c’è nessun rendiconto economico diretto proveniente da questa competizione.

Quello che non modificherò e la natura dell’avanzata lenta e scansionata con una progressione che mi permetta di conoscere persone e luoghi nuovi secondo i miei tempi.

Since the 25th May, almost two months after my departure from Carbonera (TV), the trip and the pleasure of cultural discovery will have a new project added in parallel.

I have officially begun the kilometres count in order to achieve the “longest distance with a 50 cc scooter” according to the Guinness World Record.

This explains why I added a new kilometres count at the end of my recent posts and also why I changed the engine in Shumen. I sent my request to the GWR on the 26th April and because I couldn’t imagine why my project could have been rejected, I decided to set the scooter up to the requirements in advance of their response: apart from the crankshaft bearings, which were causing much trouble in the transmission, I substituted the 70 cc with a 50 cc. Helping and supporting me was RMS, supplying all the necessary new components.

The minimum distance required by the GWR was to achieve at least 1000 km: as yet, 6th June 2010, I have already covered a longer distance and I filmed also the moment in which I did more than the previous record.I decided toto add this challenge to my travelling project because it does not restrain my pace (their requirements is that my stops/breaks must be maximum of 14 days) and also it makes the riding time more worthwhile. I have to get stamps from public authorities, when possible, to guarantee I have ridden to the locations given in the gpx files saved by my Garmin tracker. Also the photos and the videos done along the itinerary will contribute to add more relevant proof (here it is possible to download the fil with the GWR requirements). I would also like to spell out that I do not get any financial direct income from it.

What I will NOT modify is the nature of the slow travelling, following a time schedule that allows me to meet people, see interesting places and everything according to my needs.
